Scrappers Delight Summer Blog Hop
Welcome to our Summer Vacation Blog Hop! Everyone is welcome to participate and we have candy to give away. You have a chance of winning candy by following our blog hop and collecting the letters from the Scrapbooking Elements along the way. Be careful, some blogs may have 2 letters. Once you reach the last blog and have collected all the letters, unscramble the letters to reveal a well known Summer Theme Song. If you wish to be entered into the contest, make sure to post your answers on the main blog page at http://scrapersdelight.blogspot.com/
You should have arrived here from Danielle's blog (http://daniecreatief.blogspot.com/), if not please start at the beginning at http://scrapersdelight.blogspot.com/ as we don't want you to miss any letters, and seeing our projects.
I made a summer card for my cousin's birthday. She is in college at Chico, California and one of the favorite summer activities there is floating on the river. Hey I did it when I went to college there, it's fun. I used an image from Michelle Perkett Studio (http://michelleperkettstudio.blogspot.com/)
Our hop will close on July 8 and the winners will be announced on July 11. Be sure to check out Scrappers Delight Group at http://scrappersdelight.socialgo.com/ as we have swaps, challenges and give aways through out the year. Sign up and enjoy all the fun. When you are ready, hop over to Trisha's blog http://trishliciousandco.blogspot.com/ to continue the fun.
My hint is my letter will remain in its place when you're unscrambling the letters.

Daffodil Garden
My dad and I planted about 300 Daffodil bulbs last November. I got to make a sign for my garden. My dad showed me how to cut the metal, it was my first time using the torch thing. I had goggles on and the torch in one hand and all I could think of was when I was a little kid watching my dad weld. I would sit on the stool and wear one of his hats that covered my eyes so I could watch him and wondered if I would ever like to weld. Well, years later, here I was in his shop trying to cut a sign. It's lopsided, but hey it was the first time. The daffodils were very pretty.

How much rain?
Today is Saturday and I see some sunshine coming through my windows. Yea! It's been raining here for the last week, and after a storm came through on Thursday, I thought I would take a picture of what it looks like outside my front door of my apartment. Luckly I don't have to walk that way. It all soaked in by that night. Then more rain came and it's been raining all day, except the sun is shining for a moment.

Anything Goes Challenge
Are you ready for a challenge? I sure am. I haven't made anything for a contest for awhile, so I thought, hey I'm ready for a challenge. I made this journal to send to a friend for the winter. I've had about enough snow for here and wanted to send her some. Though she lives in Washington and has snow too. But why not send her a few more snowflakes. Lol.
Bugaboo Stamps is having a challenge on their blog, Anything Goes Challenge, and they have prizes too. Be sure to check out their blog at http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/
I used one of their stamps, called Poppixmas snowballs. Here is my entry:

Snow, Snow and more Snow
This is a picture of the frontyard, top of the driveway, taken Sunday morning, November 21. This is why my car is not able to get down the driveway, plus some trees are in the way. Several trees and lots of branches have fallen all over my dad's yard. They sure do make a very loud creaking sound when they break. Fortunately, none fell on the house. It looked pretty but after a few days of snowing and gloomy weather with no sunshine, it wasn't so pretty anymore.

This is a picture of the backyard taken Sunday morning, November 21. It snowed about 1 foot Saturday night. The electricity was out most of the day on Saturday, then it came back on for a couple of hours that evening, then went back off until Tuesday night. I was here by myself, well with 4 cats. They kept me company and entertained. I don't think they liked being in the house all the time. They did go outside and Sampson (1 of the cats) jumped in the snow and tried to catch the snowflakes as they fell. It was really funny. He stopped by the time I got my camera.

Here is a picture of my attempt at making a snowman. This was taken Saturday, November 20. I learned that my red gloves were not made for snow as they leaked red all over the snowman, so I took the gloves off and tried to cover up the red spots. Found a couple of small rocks for the eyes and some pineneedles for the arms. It was too cold outside otherwise I would have taken off my hat to put on him.
